Each grade counts by its credits: the sum of grade × credits, divided by all credits. Your university may round or weight years differently.
How is a GPA calculated?
Each letter grade has grade points (A = 4.0, B = 3.0, C = 2.0). Multiply them by the credits of the course, add everything up and divide by all credits.
What is a 2:1 in the UK?
An upper second-class degree, an average of 60 to 69 percent. 70 percent and above is a first, 50 to 59 a 2:2.
How are ECTS grades weighted?
In Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the Netherlands each grade counts by its ECTS credits, so a 10-credit module weighs twice as much as a 5-credit one.
